The events at Delhi World Public School – Hooghly are transformative for students. Rang-De-Azadi

It is a celebration of our Independence Day, where we will be paying tribute to all our armed forces and our freedom fighters.

Inter House Rakhi Craft Competition

A competition where different houses or teams create and showcase craft items related to the festival of Rakhi, often organized in schools.

Inter House Literacy Competition

Sharod Utsav

A celebration related to Sharod Utsav, which is a popular Bengali festival associated with Durga Puja, celebrating the arrival of the goddess Durga.

On the day DWPS Hooghly celebrates Christmas, participants adorn themselves in festive red and white attire, engaging in spirited dancing and grooving to the enchanting Christmas vibes.

THE WOMEN'S COUNCIL OF DELHI WORLD PUBLIC SCHOOL - HOOGHLY

The Women’s Council at Delhi World Public School – Hooghly is a crucial force supporting and empowering women in the school. Comprising dedicated members, including teachers, parents, and community leaders, the council champions gender equality and fosters an inclusive environment for female students and staff. They organize workshops on leadership, career guidance, and health, collaborating with external groups for resources and mentorship.

Beyond the school, they impact Indian society by nurturing empowered young women, promoting equality, and setting an example for broader communities. Despite constitutional guarantees, gender equality isn’t always practiced nationwide. Therefore, the school’s council, led by Vice-Chairman Mrs. Sutapa Ghosh and coordinated by Mrs. Anjali Mishra, Mrs. Moumita Mukherjee, and Mrs. Baishakhi Kundal, vigorously promotes equality for every student, transcending gender discrimination.

SOCIAL MEDIA CLUB

The School Social Media Club aims to foster responsible social media use and develop digital etiquette and safety skills through activities like workshops, content challenges, guest speakers, and community projects. By showcasing school values and encouraging collaboration, the club enhances students’ digital literacy, career readiness, and teamwork.
